Mesta Park
Mesta Park is an HP neighborhood. It is located between Western Ave East to Walker Ave and NW 16th St North to NW 22nd St. Families gather at the annual summer event, Mesta Festa. Walkscore gives the neighborhood a score of 76. The new business district, Uptown 23rd St provides local restaurants and retail, businesses, and social services to the area. Homeland serves as the neighborhood grocery store. The average Mesta Park home costs $239k. This neighborhood is known for it’s well-kept homes which includes a variety of architectural styles, Victorian, Arts & Crafts, Bungalows, and Tudors. Mesta Park is the second OKC neighborhood to become a Historic Preservation District. This occurred in the 1980’s due to the dwindling inner-city neighborhoods. Within decades of becoming HP, the neighborhood has become one of the most sought-out neighborhoods that displays a sense of stewardship, accompanied with a sense of neighborhood pride.
